Lover is Swift's 7th album released in 2019 and contains 18 songs. It is a true pop album and many of the songs are much brighter and are about how love makes one feel. It is also technically the first album Swift owns because of the sales of her masters. The album was the best selling album of 2019 and Swift herself was the best selling artist of 2019. At the 62nd Grammys the album was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and songs "You Need To Calm Down" and "Lover" were nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year respectivley.
Unlike the release for Reputation, Lover went back to a more calculated release schedule. With this album Swift also utlized her infamous "easter eggs" to leave clues for plans to find. She was supposed to go on the "Lover Fest" tour but it was cancelled due to the pandemic. My favorite songs are the album are "Daylight", "Cruel Summer", and "Afterglow".
