Gracie Abrams is an up and coming artists and has contantly refered to Taylor Swift as one of her biggest inspirations. For many young artists Swift is one to look out for, but Abrams meets the expectations Swift set so many years before.
For Gracie's second EP she worked closely with Aaron Dessner on songs like "Augusta" and "Rockland". Dessner is a frequent collaborator of Swift's since folklore. Wile Gracie was touring she would usually cover songs, Swift's music was a frquent use during sound checks. November 12, 2022 was the release of both Red - Taylor's Version and This Is What It Feels Like. They supported each other on Tik Tok by communicating in different comment sections and Abrams atteneded Swift's 32nd birthday party. Their mutuals adortation of each other extending to friendship.
For the young Gen-Z and following generations that didn't get to grow up with Taylor Swift, Gracie Abrams is their turn at young artist turned star. This is not to say Swift is going anywhere soon but Swift's music is becoming more and more mature by the day, Abrams still has that young imagination and trying to figure out who you are message in her songs. Both artists stand out in their own way and will be beloved for years to come.
