Once inside, Dawn's mom offers her a snack and asks about her day.
"My day was good mom," she lies, "and I'm not really hungry right now".
Dawn walks to her bedroom and shuts the door behind her. Her eyes start to sting and all of the sudden tears are flowing down her face and dripping onto her carpet. She drags herself into bed and tries to stay as silent as possible so she won't alert her mom.
"I don't get why everyone hates me,"" she whisper sobs to herself.
Dinner passes and Dawn acts like nothing happened. She puts on a smile for her mom. When it's time for bed, she silently sobs herself to sleep.
She does not want to go to school tomorrow.
