Stranger in the Alps was released in 2017 with 11 songs. It is Phoebe's first solo album. The reception Bridger's recieved was for her lyrics and the musical production. While it wouldn't push her into the mainstream as her next album would - it solidified her as an indie artist.
The song "Motion Sickness" is arguably Bridgers' most popular song. The instrumentals on the song are her most happiest while the lyrics are some of the most heartbreaking. I love most of the songs on this album but my favorites are "Smoke Signals", "Scott Street", and "You Missed My Heart".
