You can hear them snickering in the distance. You haven't looked in their direction in what felt like years. Even when Suzie did a front flip off the dock.

As you sit and watch the girls splash around, an older girl approaches you. She had an emo side part hair cut and piercings studded delibrately on her body. You were intimidated by her before but now she had an aire about her that felt comforting. She plops down beside you.

"They're not real men. Don't worry about them. They haven't gotten to the age where they realize that shit is natural. Doubt they even have hair there yet."

"Look I have hair everywhere." She pulls her thigh skin a little to reveal hair on her bikini line.

You blush. How is she so nonchalant about something so personal. I don't feel alone anymore. I can't hear the boys laughing in the distance. "I'm Suzie" she says. You smile at her

"Did that hurt?" You ask, gesturing to the jewelry poking out of her belly button

"No" she says
