Sage is at the park with her best friend, Annie. They are running around, going down the slides and swinging on the swing set, overall having the best day ever. While they are on the swing set, three other girls from their class walk up to them. The leader, Emily, looked over at Sage and rolled her eyes, but she evilly smiled over at Annie. Emily asks Annie to hang out with her and her other friends. Annie is immediately excited about hanging out with more friends, so she takes Sage's hand and is ecstatic to play with friends. Emily stops Annie and Sage from stepping any closer to her. She tells Annie that she meant her and only her, not Sage. Annie has been Sage's best friend since they were in kindergarten and they have never not played together before. Sage looks at Annie and tells her that it is okay and she'll just go hang out with her mother. Annie, oblivious to Sage's sadness, runs off to hang out with the other three girls. Little did Sage know this would be the last day her and Annie would ever hang out together.
