Sage overhears her parents fighting from the top of the stairs. They are arguing with words Sage cannot fully understand. She peeks out her door to see why her parents are fighting and she sees them screaming at each other with their hands flailing all over the place. She still has no idea what they are arguing about. All she understands is that she is confused, alone, and scared.
