As the bell is about to ring you rush to the principle's office. You need to talk to her right now. You knock on the door and once they allow you to enter you go in, sit down, take a deep breath and start.
You tell her how awful it is that no one, for years, has helped Evan. Not a single teacher, student, or principle has done anything and you know that they have seen it happen. She says nothing can be done till it is seen that Evan is being physically hurt and you immediately scoff.
You start to scream that it has been abuse for years.
You've seen the bruises.
You've seen the taunts.
You have seen Evan's face every day looking like he is drowning in depression and, at this point, is done fighting his way out. You keep screaming till you hear familiar loud taunts coming from outside the office.
You stop and, as your principle is about to say something, you grab their hand and bring them to where Evan is being bashed into a locker as they destroy his belongings. You scream:
"If this isn't abuse then what is?!"
Your principle runs up to them and the whole hallway goes quiet. Evan gets dropped to the floor as each kid who bullied him stops. You rush to Evan and help him up.
You bring him to your car and ask for directions to drive him to his house.
