Where tourists tend to stay and where do the locals go for a stroll?

The map of NYC,

Interactive mapping of New York City's two different parts to it: the postcard New York that tourists imagine and see, and the quiet and less visited city that locals actually use and appreciate as their own. This map shows two versions of New York. One is the hyper physical New York City, the one the tourists expect to see and experience. The other is the quiet, intimate and local city, the one that real New Yorkers inhabit and enjoy. The map compares and contrasts places in New York City based on two datasets: Tourist NYC and Local NYC. These mapped points include a short description and image to show why the place or space fits its each dataset. This dataset is intended for a general public audience. The overall aim of the project is to raise awareness of the differences between the two New Yorks (tourist NYC and Local NYC).
