This is a cultural map focusing on iconic locations from Films taking place in NYC and famous locations seen in NYC movies compared to actual, well known theaters in this city where we go to enjoy films and media. For my final project, I added a 3rd data set to this map consisting of theaters that have closed down or are closing in the NYC area due to slow or no business at all due to streaming vs tradtional movie theaters, as streaming continues to come out on top.
I was able to use google for most all of the images, however some of the images of theaters were taken from the Kennedy Center Wesbite.
