NEW WORLD

You leap from the head of the beast, floating through the air like a petal on an updraft. In one clean slice, you strike the stones with your sword, remembering all that you learned. At the same time, the beast attacks them tow. After a moment, your combined efforts move the impossibly tough stones, letting you both through. The beast catches you on it's head as you both cheer and laugh in your own way. For the first time on both of your lives, you are free. You both continue to laugh as you speed across the water, wandering, taking advantage of this unimaginable freedom. The fresh, salty air flies past you, carrying the scent of adventure. Many hours later, you return to the island. The harbor was drained when the rocks moved and carved into from the force of the beast swimming. This has turned it from a murky inlet to a verdant valley, flowers and other plant life springing forth, boosted by minerals carved from the ground by the beast. Your unlikely friend swims through a lake running through the valley, large enough for boats to finally return to the island. When you get back to the grassland, it lets you off, Before leaving for the ocean, it turns to you one last time, closing its eyes. You feel your sword shake a little in your sheathe.
