Let's talk about some ways to cope in a more healthy way to get you out of this funk.
First thing's first: find yourself a good therapist, I am not qualified to tell you exactly what to do, I just have suggestions.
Here are small things you can do that can get you started on your path out of the funk:
- Make a list of the things you want/need to accomplish (on paper), do one thing at a time and cross it off the list.
- Go get some fresh air and excercise to release your endorphins
- Clean your room and take a really long shower
- Find a good book to read
- Do something nice for somebody-anonymously
- Have that open and honest conversation no matter how hard it is
- The hardest one- take it day by day, one foot in front of the other- have patience and believe that you can do anything you set your mind to:)
If you are anything like me, this list will probably make you cringe. It might be cheesy and seem realy easy but sometimes it is not as simple as it looks.
I am proud of you for going through this and thinking more deeply about how you cope with things in your life.
