You decide to tell Casey the truth. She is your best friend, after all, she’ll understand.

You: Actually I’m not feeling ok.

Casey: Oh no! Are you feeling sick?

You: Well not exactly. I just feel really anxious because I don’t know anyone here. Honestly, I’ve been feeling like this for a while now.

Casey: Have you spoken to anyone else about this?

You: No your the first person I’ve told.

Casey: How anxious have you been getting?

You: sometimes it’s not so bad and other times I feel like I can’t breathe or that I’m gonna pass out. I’m not sure what to do.

Casey: Maybe you should try seeing a therapist. You could be developing an anxiety disorder. They could help you cope with it and figure out why it’s happening.

You: I don’t know if I want to talk to someone about it… I’m probably fine.

Casey: You don’t sound fine. Listen I don’t want to upset you but if you continue to do nothing about this it’s only going to get worse. I don’t want to see you upset. At least try it out and see how it goes.

You: Maybe you’re right. At least one session won’t hurt.
