You wake up abruptly. You have a bad feeling in the pit of your stomach like something is going to happen to you. You do not know what to do with this feeling so you get off the bed and go back to your corner and sit on the ground and just stare. You close your eyes and go back to that summer day, but it is different now. You do not feel the warmth of the sun on your skin anymore, it just feels cold, all you feel is coldness. You look out upon that lake and you do not see the beauty anymore. You just see the dark abyss. You snap back into reality and stare at the scratch marks embedded in the wallpaper in front of you. They remind you of scars. Not like the ones that fade away into your skin over time, but the ones that remain on the surface to remind you of the pain. You come to some sort of clarity and you wonder if it has always been there, you know what comes next.
