Project Butterfly: Decision 4

Decision 4: "Mother"

When "Father" went to confront "Mother"'s boss, he asked him several questions concerning how the boss felt about "Mother" which all caused "Father" to get upset. "Father" explained that he plans on suing the boss and company for what occured; however, the boss explained that nothing occured and that "Father" would lose in court. "Father"'s anger rose and as the boss kept prodding "Father", "Father" exploded and assaulted the boss. Currenly, "Father" is in jail for the assault, and no progress has been made to sue the boss. Since the assault, "Mother" has quit working there and is now attempting to secure a permanent job somewhere.
On top of this, "Mother" and "Father" have recently received news that "Son" has been killed on the line of duty attempting to protect a civilian. "Son" died doing what he loved. As expected, "Mother" and "Father" endure the unimaginable as at moments "Father" blames himself for "Son"'s death for pushing him to become a police officer. "Mother" is currently enduring a mid-life crisis and feels that there can only be either one of two things she can do at the current moment. Either
save enough money to pay for "Father"'s bail
OR
put those funds into starting a campaign for mayor
The second option came as a huge surprise to "Father" when he heard about the idea as "Mother" came out of nowhere with a plan to fix the issues that have surrounded the family. "Mother" wants to find a way to fix the working conditions for women, the crime rate, and regulate the power of corporations to fight the justice system. "Mother" believes that as mayor she can attempt to fix these issues; however, she will be unable to bail "Father" out of prison if she does start a campaign.
