Your parents show up and hug you close to their chests.
"You are never going out alone ever again okay?" your mom says as she hugs you.
Your okay with that. You no longer have to beg to stay home!
Finally!
You smile as they bring you to the car and you all drive home.
"Has halloween always been this dangerous dad?" you ask in a quiet voice.
"Honestly? I don't think so but who knows. So many get killed on a day dedicated to scares and candy." your dad says dejectedly.
You nod your head even though his answer didn't really help.
