LIFE ON A FARM

So you're a male cow! You are born onto a beef farm and will need to sacrifice your body for the beef industry.

First, you will need to be marked for identification. You will be restrained and branded, resulting in a third degree burn. Then, your testicles will be cut off so that they gradually decline in effectiveness.

If you were born in a state such as Nebraska, you will freeze to death in the winter.
If you were born in a state such as Texas, you will die from heat exhaustion in the summer. Your body will then be sold for about 300 dollars. If you happen to survive, you will be auctioned off and be placed in massive feedlots filled with feces among thousands of other cows.

You will be fed an unnatural diet of grain in corn to make you fat. This food will cause you to bloat and possibly even become breathing impaired because of compression of your lungs. From the time you are a cattle, you will be drugged to grow faster and to keep you alive while you have to live in horrible conditions before you are "big" enough to be killed for beef.

The drugs (antibiotics) are often passed through the meat that humans will eat. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2 million people contract antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections each year, and approximately 23,000 of them die. Eating antibiotic-free meat is not a solution. It is still high in cholesterol and saturated fat and contributes to a person's risk of suffering from heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity.
