This is a map of where members of the LGBT community have come out to their friends, families, or even strangers. I have only interviewed a few residents of Manhattan, Staten Island, and the Bronx. I plan to extend my research further as time goes on. By clicking on each point, you will see the name of the location, a picture respresenting it, and a description of who the LGBT member has come out to. Some points include quotes as people told their story.
This map is meant to inspire other members of the LGBT community to come out and share their story. New York City is filled with diversity and acceptance.
