Did you know that Central Park covers 843 acres of Manhattan?! That's nearly 3.5 miles of land. The result of an 1858 competition to improve the previous park before, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux were the winning architects. There masterpiece took 15 years and was finally finished in 1873.

Fun Facts about Central Park: The park contains approximately 25,000 trees, 138 acres of woodlands, 7 bodies of water, and 58 miles of walking paths.
