It felt like a blur droping in from space. I'd done at least a dozen times since I transfered to the ODSTs but this felt different. before we were doing recon on Insurectionists but this was a new feeling. We were dealing with Aliens. The Covenant was a new possible threat and it scared the hell out of me. I had no Idea what to expect. I just remember falling from space and staring down at the planet. I just stared as we fell faster and faster. I kept wondering. Is today the day... was I gonna die on drop? Were these aliens gonna tear up my team? I couldn't think. I just closed my eyes and hoped my coffin wouldn't kill me this time.
