The Instigator Experience

Instigator is an interactive narrative game that combines text, messaging, augmented reality, maps, puzzle solving and live action. The goal is to find your missing backpack by following a set of clues. But the game is also a mystery - who is the Instigator?

The game requires the player to visit various locations on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Ideally, these visits would be done in person. However, visiting each site adds a significant amount of time to the game play. If for whatever reason visiting the physical sites is impractical, the journey can be achieved virtually using mapping applications from Apple (Look Around) or Google (Street View).

[Future development of the game would include the user entering a name and phone number to start the game. The remainder of the game would be entirely in realtime with no further interaction with the website.]
