It's a cool, breezy, fall afternoon. You're hiking through the woods somewhere in upstate New York with your dog, Benjamin. You're trying to spend more time outside as a way to reconnect with nature. The trees are bare and the air is crisp. You've been walking for about 20 minutes when you stumble upon a clearing in the trees. In the center of it all stands a massive abandoned building. Windows are broken and graffiti is scattered all around the exterior. You walk along a fence that is surrounding the entirety of the outside of the building until you hear the sound of glass shattering inside. This startles you and Benjamin and he begins running, his leash slipping from your hand. He runs along the fence and crawls through a small opening that's cut at the bottom. He runs toward the building and makes his way inside through a door that's been broken open. You call out Benjamin's name for a few minutes as you grow increasingly more concerned as you get no response. You decide to go in and look for him. You first take a quick look around to make sure nobody will see you trespass, and then quickly crouch under the fence opening, approach the door, and slip inside.
