Today is your first day of work for the DNA Factory. Your job is easy. You pick a gene, check the instructions to code for it, then repicate.
Genes are made up of DNA, or deoxyreibonucleic acid. Some genes act as instructions to make molecules called proteins. However, many genes do not code for proteins. In humans, genes vary in size from a few hundred DNA bases to more than 2 million bases. These bases are represented by four letters, G, A, T, and C. Cool. Let's get started.
