You decide to call an Uber to pick you up. It’ll be easier than having to walk to the train or bus station and will also save some more time. Your uber arrives and you get in. The driver doesn’t talk to you so you decide to put in some headphones and listen to music on your phone. You feel relaxed.

You get to the party a few minutes before 8:00 pm. When you get there you realize that it’s more crowded than you thought. You begin to get a bit nervous. When you get inside Casey comes to greet you. You begin to feel better.

Casey: Hey! I’m so happy you could make it.

You: Me too! The place looks great.

Casey: Thank you!

You: Do you mind if I just stick with you tonight, I don’t really know anyone here.

Casey: Of course you can, I’m not just gonna leave you. I am the one who told you to come.

You: Thank you! That makes me feel a bit better.

Casey: Of course! Now, let’s go have some fun!

You successfully go to the party without having a panic attack. While although this is a good thing you still haven’t won yet.

Since you made it through tonight you decide that you don’t have to tell anyone about your anxiety. It will continue to get worse since you aren’t doing anything about it. Ignoring your issues isn’t the answer.

Try Again.
