Since you don’t see Casey around yet you decide to introduce yourself to a group of people. They all stop their conversation and look at you.

You: Heyy

Mike: Hey my name is Mike and this is Evalyn, Mat, and Sam.

You: Nice to meet you guys.

You start getting nervous. You don’t know what to talk about.

Sam: So are you a friend of Casey’s?

You feel the awkward tension in the air. Maybe you shouldn’t have introduced yourself.

You: Oh yea me and Casey are best friends. We’ve known each other for a long time. She invited me to come and at first, I wasn’t really sure about coming but you know she’s my best friend and I didn’t want to let her down…

You begin rambling because you are nervous. The group is staring back at you with a blank look.

You (internally): Omg why am I talking so much. They probably think I’m so weird. Why did I just walk up to them I don’t even know them? I should have just looked for Casey.
