Amazon is one of the biggest tech conglomerates in the world and it is constantly expanding. This black Friday, Amazon employees in 25 countries around the world went on strike, and that is just in one day. Over the last year, Amazon employees have faced many challenges in the workforce. Worldwide, nearly 50 organisations have signed up to a list of "common demands", published by the Make Amazon Pay coalition, which include raising warehouse workers' pay and adding hazard pay and peak time increments, halting worker "surveillance" and strict productivity targets, extending sick leave and improving Covid-19 tracking and reporting, ending casual employment status and "union-busting" activities, paying taxes without using loopholes or tax havens. This map is meant to bring awareness to the demands of the Amazon employees and uplift the voices of working class people.
