Guaranteed Rate Field
- Construction began on May 7, 1989 by Gust K. Newberg which cost $167 million.
- Chicago’s new ball park opened on April 18, 1991 under the name Comiskey Park, but it was renamed to U.S. Cellular Field in January 2003 and then to Guaranteed Rate Field in November of 2016.
- Guaranteed Rate Field has the capacity to seat 40,615 fans, and a unique feature within the stadium is the Chicagoland Plumbing Council Shower, a carry-over from the old Comiskey Park, allowing fans to cool off during hot game days.
