• Groundbreaking for the new stadium began on October 29, 1997, and it marked the first time in over 100 years where opening day baseball was played at a location other than the old Tiger Stadium.
• Total cost of Comerica Park was $300 million, and capacity for this stadium reached 41,083.
• A unique attraction at Comerica is along the left-centerfield wall are six statues of Tiger Hall of Famer’s, including Ty Cobb, Al Kaline and Hank Greenberg.
