- The Reds finished the regular season tied with the St. Louis Cardinals for 2nd place in the NL Central Division. Cincinnati was tied for the 5th best record in the National League and were tied with the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals for the 12th best record in all of Major League Baseball.
- The Cincinnati Reds made the postseason as the 7th seed but were swept in the National League Wild Card Series by the Atlanta Braves.
- From 2014-2019, the Reds finished the regular season with a losing record, and out of the last 30 seasons, the club has only made the playoffs 5 times.

Great American Ball Park
- Great American Ball Park was created by the HOK company for a cost of $320 million. The stadium was opened on March 31, 2003 and is able to seat up to 42,271 fans.
- However, early disagreements arose when owner of the Reds, Marge Schott, threatened to move the team to Northern Kentucky if the team did not receive a better lease agreement than the Cincinnati Bengals. The Reds and city officials agreed to a lease and groundbreaking for the ballpark occurred on October 4, 2000.
- Great American Ball Park has a 64 feet high and 36 feet wide home run feature. It consists of two large smokestacks, a paddle wheel, and a large misting system makes noise, shoots fireworks, and creates mist when a home run is hit.
