PNC Park
- The Pirates new ballpark was originally named Forbes Field II, but the name was changed to PNC Park after PNC Financial Services bought the naming rights in August 1998. Construction was completed by HOK/LDA companies at a total cost of $216 million.
- PNC Park was opened on April 9, 2001, with a max capacity of 38,362.
- An interesting feature at PNC Park is that the distance from home plate to the Allegheny River, is 456 feet. Left handed hitters are notorious for hitting home runs into the river.
