Angel Stadium of Anaheim
- Home to the Los Angeles Angels, Del E. Webb Company began constructing this stadium in 1966, and years later, from 1997-1999, renovations were made by the Turner Construction Company. $24 million dollars was spent in 1966 for stadium construction, while $118 million was spent for renovations during the late 90s.
- Although the stadium is often referred to by its unofficial nickname, “The Big A”, there have been a few name changes over the course of its history. It was named Anaheim Stadium from 1966-1997, and then from 1997-2003 it was changed to Edison International Field, and finally to its present name in 2004.
- Currently, the stadium’s capacity sits at 45,050, and fans who visit the stadium have the unique opportunity to see its 210-ton sign illuminate following games that the Angels wins, which has resulted in fans to coin the expression, “Light that baby Up!”
