You walk out to your school's courtyard to get some fresh air. Your eyes start stinging with tears and you can't stop them from falling.
Why are you crying? You didn't do anything wrong?
Stop.
Crying.
You look around and, through a window, see Evan in an empty classroom writing on something. Your eyes are still blurry from the tears but you can see his face covered with the same watery stains as you.
You decide tomorrow you will stand up for him. Tomorrow you will be the friend he always needed. You forget that you say this to yourself every day as you watch him fall apart and every day you still do nothing but sit and watch.
