You knew you had to go. The only question was how would you get home? Your phone was dead, so an Uber was out of the question. And no one at the party was sober enough to be the d.d.You only had one option - drive yourself. You thought maybe you could make it, you weren't too drunk. You could get away with it.
You took your keys out of your pocket and climbed into the driver's seat of your dad's car that you snuck out of the driveway after everyone was asleep.
You made your way out onto the road, and you weren't doing too bad. You could feel yourself swerving slightly off the road, but every time you gained back control of the wheel. That is, until you could feel the ultimate feeling of exhaustion taking over.
