One morning you spill your coffee in the lobby of the office.
You also have an important person on the phone with you and cannot hang up. You leave the coffee and decide to clean it up after you are off the phone.
30 minutes go by and you see your boss walking into the office.
In the blink of an eye, Harriet is on the floor crying with a broken neck.
You realize she has slipped on the coffee you forgot to clean up.
Harriet demands to know who spilt the coffee so she can fire that person.
You panic.
You have worked way too hard to jeopardize your career over some spilt coffee.
If Harriet finds out it was your fault she will fire you.
You could easily blame the disaster on Jenny, the shy intern who recently graduated college, or Bruce, the custodian who has worked in the building for over 20 years.
