You slowly take a few pieces of candy, walk down the stairs, and sprint to your house. You run past families holding their children to their chests, kids cowering behind lamp posts, and, most importantly, the monster-person-thing that almost killed one of your friends.
You don't stop running until you hit the front door of your house. You quickly knock and once it opens you run to your room, ignoring your parent's questions about why you are so frazzled. You pull out your phone to see tens of text of all of your friends making sure everyone is okay.
Luckily, everyone has responded but you meaning they are all safe from the monster. You quickly text them that you are alive and safe then fall back onto your bed.
I would say this taught you never to take more candy then asked, but you did. I guess it works half the time. The other half could just be deadly.
