Dance has become a way that I have had the freedom to express myself and my emotions over the last eighteen years. The dance program at Marymount Manhattan College has helped my understanding of expression and individualism grow within this art form. For my final project I chose to give several dancers one task; that task was to improv for roughly thirty seconds to one word they identify with. This improv portrays who the individuals are both as creators and every day humans.
